Genelec have strengthened their sales and marketing team by appointing Howard Jones to the role of International Project Manager. Based in Cambridge, UK, Jones joins the Finnish loudspeaker manufacturer fresh from an eleven-year stint as Director of Distributed Brands with Source Distribution, and now has responsibility for consulting with the Genelec team on their global sales and marketing strategy. Jones already has a strong connection with the Genelec brand through his previous role with Source, who have since 2007 been the exclusive distributor for Genelec products in the UK.

I started out by playing some commercially available CDs that I knew well and found the 8351As hugely impressive, revealing things that I just didn’t know were on the tracks. They didn’t sound ‘pushed’ or ‘fake’, they just sounded really detailed - almost shockingly detailed.”

Genelec have partnered with the HHB Communications Group to create the world’s first Genelec Experience Centre, located in central London – allowing visitors to audition a dazzling array of Genelec active monitors for music, post, broadcast and install applications. The aim of the Centre is to provide the opportunity for visitors to evaluate a wide range of Genelec products under one roof, while also offering the perfect location for product showcases, video shoots and clinics to educate both end users and resellers on how best to choose, position and calibrate their speakers.
