The country’s largest financial organisation, OP Bank Group, and Kauppalehti, Finland’s leading business daily newspaper, nominate each year ‘The Company of the Year’ and the ‘Director of the Year’ from the rated 10 best companies amongst about 6500 Finnish companies with a turnover between 2 and 50 MEUR. The ranking criteria are growth and several aspects of sustained financial performance during the last 3-5 years. In addition to representatives from the nominating bodies, the jury consists of representatives from financial analyst companies and Helsinki University of Technology.
The ‘Company of the Year 2005’ is Serres Oy, who is the market leader in the manufacturing of floor drains in the Nordic countries as well as the largest European hospital suction liner manufacturer and market leader in the Nordic countries.
The ‘Director of the Year 2005’ is Ilpo Martikainen from Genelec Oy. This is a great reward to the whole Genelec team who has done a great job for many years.
