Genelec Active Monitors · Near-fields

Genelec active two-way near-field monitors offer a wide choice of monitoring solutions for recording studios, broadcast facilities, mastering suites, post-production houses, mobile production vehicles, project/home studios, audio and video workstations, fixed installations and multichannel monitoring. Every model contains integrated amplifiers and crossover circuits, as well as precise room response controls allowing to adjust the monitor's response to the varying acoustic environment. The overload protection circuitry ensure that drivers and amplifiers are protected, providing long term system reliability. The Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS™) function reduces power consumption to less than 0.5 Watts when monitors are not in use.

Genelec 8000 Series

All 8000, 8200 and 8300 Series features numerous technological innovations and advantages such as the Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE™) with its rounded edges that curve seamlessly into the Advanced Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW™) shape as well as in the rear-mounted reflex tube opening. Made of recycled die-cast aluminium, the thin wall enclosures offer excellent damping and sturdy structure as well as maximised internal volume. The long, curved reflex tube is flow optimised to increase the woofer's low frequency extension and sound pressure level capacity. Advanced technology drivers combined with carefully designed filters provide improved resolution and minimum listening fatigue over the entire audio spectrum. Every system is delivered with an Iso-Pod™ (Isolation Positioner & Decoupler) stand, which prevents colouration caused by unwanted vibration and allows for adjustable tilt for precise aiming of the acoustical axis.

Genelec 8200 and 8300 Series Smart Active Monitors (SAM™)

The new Genelec 8320A and 8330A two-way SAM monitors feature a new and highly intuitive Genelec Loudspeaker Manager software (GLM™) 2.0 complemented with a new measurement microphone and network adapter unit. The 8240A and 8250A two-way SAM monitors use Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM™) 1.0 control network technologies. GLM allows adjustments of all aspects of monitor settings and full system control. Genelec AutoCal™ is at the heart of both GLM 1.0 and 2.0. It allows to automatically align every monitor on the network in terms of level, timing, and equalisation of room response anomalies.

SAM systems are, by design, straightforward and easy to use, versatile in configuration and adaptable acoustically to nearly any environment you place them in, providing outstanding clarity, definition and neutrality that you can always trust.
