Genelec have strengthened their sales and marketing team by appointing Howard Jones to the role of International Project Manager.
Based in Cambridge, UK, Jones joins the Finnish loudspeaker manufacturer fresh from an eleven-year stint as Director of Distributed Brands with Source Distribution, and now has responsibility for consulting with the Genelec team on their global sales and marketing strategy. Jones already has a strong connection with the Genelec brand through his previous role with Source, who have since 2007 been the exclusive distributor for Genelec products in the UK.
One of the first responsibilities that Jones has been tasked with is the overseeing of the world’s first Genelec Experience Centre in central London, which has opened this autumn and acts as a dazzling showcase for Genelec’s loudspeaker technology by allowing visitors to audition a vast array of studio and AV Install models in stereo, surround and immersive audio configurations. Jones’ goal is also to make the Experience Centre a major hub for pro audio activity in London, by co-ordinating a regular program of clinics and seminars that bring professionals together to network and learn more about the very latest in audio technologies.
