We’ve just learnt that our recent Science of Sound video collaboration with Boiler Room has been nominated for a prestigious DADI award for Branded Content.
The DADIs (The Drum Awards for the Digital Industries) are open internationally to all agencies and brands who are producing exciting and innovative digital work. From apps to consumer products, use of search to social media, paid media and VR, the DADIs have been recognising excellence for the past 12 years, with the shortlisted entries being judged by a panel of digital creatives, strategists and clients all who have extensive experience in the digital industry.
The Science of Sound is a new and compelling video guide for budding music-makers, featuring the talents of Lorenzo Senni, Caterina Barbieri and Not Waving and exploring the use of Delay, Reverb, Distortion and Waveforms – culminating in an episode entitled The Art of Monitoring which covers the importance of choice, placement and calibration of studio monitors.
Shot on 16mm film and using both surrealist motion graphics and 70s Hollywood aesthetics, we aimed to produce something a little bit different from the usual production tutorial!
But please take a look and judge for yourself…
