Genelec is organising a global #GenelecMoments Lottery campaign from Friday 17th February 2023 at 12:00 GMT+2 until Sunday 31st December 2023 at 11:59pm, GMT+2 (“Campaign Period”). During the Campaign one (1) Prize Draw will be organised each calendar month. Each month, one (1) winner will have the choice to be awarded with either a pair of 8010A monitors or a pair of G One loudspeakers. In December only, one (1) extra winner will be drawn from special Christmas and seasonal entries – entered from Friday 1st December 2023 at 12:00 GMT+2 until Sunday 31st December 2023 at 11:59pm, GMT+2 (“Christmas Campaign Period”) – to receive a pair of red 8020D monitors.
OFFICIAL RULES OF THE CAMPAIGN
These Official Rules govern the Campaign. By entering the Campaign, the entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules. Genelec reserves the right to reject and exclude participants if the contest rules and conditions are not fully respected.
Organiser of the Campaign
The Campaign is organised by Genelec Oy, Olvitie 5, 74100 Iisalmi, Finland (“Genelec”), tel. +358 17 83 881.
The entrants can participate in the Campaign during the Campaign Period which starts on Friday 17th February 2023 at 12:00 GMT+2 and ends on Sunday 31st December 2023 at 11:59pm, GMT+2. Any entries received before or after the Campaign Period will not be accepted, and each entry is valid for the entire Campaign Period. Please note, only special Christmas and seasonal entries – entered in the Christmas Campaign Period – are valid for the December ‘Christmas Prize Draw’ of red 8020D monitors.
Who can participate
Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry into the Campaign. Employees of Genelec or its affiliates or partners or agents and members of their immediate families are not eligible to participate. Genelec reserves the right to verify the eligibility of the entrants. No purchase is required to enter the Campaign and a purchase will not increase the chances of winning.
How to participate
Eligible entrants can participate in the Campaign until Sunday 31st December 2023 at 11:59pm, GMT+2. Participation is via the posting of the required text, photo or video material on the entrant’s Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter or YouTube channel using the #GenelecMoments and #Genelec45 hashtags, or by submitting material using the form on the 'Genelec | 45 World Tour' webpage https://www.genelec.com/genelec45.
Entrants may participate as many times as they want, using different content each time. Any submitted text, photo or video must be the entrant's original creation or a creation to which the entrant owns the rights or has full usage permission. No copyrighted material belonging to a third party may be used.
Although it is not required to feature a Genelec system in submitted photos and videos, submissions that clearly feature a Genelec system are easier for our team to verify as legitimate and therefore may be more likely to be shortlisted for our lottery's prize draw. Participants don’t have to use a
professional camera, but to help their chances of success, they should ensure that photos and videos are of the highest quality and resolution that they can manage.
We cannot accept into the Prize Draw any video, photo or text content that contains or promotes any violent, erotic, dangerous or extreme behaviour, tobacco or alcohol or other activities with negative impacts on health or the environment. Nor will we accept any content containing or promoting anything in relation to gambling or betting, discriminating behaviour, or the spreading of discriminating messages of any kind.
- The Prize Draw and prizes
One (1) prize winner will be randomly selected each calendar month by Genelec from among all eligible entries to receive their own choice of a pair of 8010A monitors or a pair of G One loudspeakers, except in December when a second ‘Christmas Prize’ winner will be chosen from special Christmas and seasonal entries entered during the Christmas Campaign Period. The result of each month's Prize Draw shall be resolved by the 14th day of the following calendar month. Entrants need not be present to win. The odds of winning may depend upon the number of entries received. There is no entry fee to enter the Prize Draw. The entries must not be sent in through agents, third parties or on behalf of another person. Such entries are void. Bulk entries are void and cannot be accepted. Prize Draw winners will be notified personally by private message or email.
Prize Draw winners will be required to confirm acceptance of the prize within seven (7) days from the date of Genelec's attempt at contact. If a prize winner cannot or will not accept the prize, or the winner does not respond to Genelec's contact, the original winner will forfeit the prize, a redraw shall be conducted immediately and the new winner will be notified once the redraw has been finalised. Prize Draw winners – and the Christmas Prize Draw winner – may only win once during the Campaign Period, and in the eventuality of a previous winner being drawn again, a redraw shall be conducted immediately and a new winner identified.
Each month's ‘Prize Draw’ winner can choose either a pair of 8010A monitors or a pair of G One loudspeakers to suit their preference. The winner of our separate December ‘Christmas Prize Draw’ receives a pair of red 8020D monitors. All taxes related to this Campaign, if any, are the responsibility of the organiser of the prize draw. No substitution or transfer of a prize is permitted except at the sole discretion of Genelec. No cash alternatives will be offered. Genelec is also responsible for the shipping fees of the prize.
- Personal data and publicity
The collection and handling of personal data is limited to the extent necessary for the delivery of the prizes of the Campaign and for such purpose the information submitted may be transferred within or between Genelec and its affiliates and other third parties participating in arranging the Campaign, which may be located within or outside the European Economic Area. Personal data shall not be used for any other purposes, except those stated above and below in this Section 6.
Genelec may use any of the winning entrants’ names, town/country of residence and supplied background information for website, social media and other marketing materials.
Genelec owns the right to edit and use any texts, photos and videos submitted to the contest, free of charge and in any manner and media.
Applicable to Australia
Nothing in these Official Rules limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as well as any other implied warranties under the Australian Securities and Investment Commission Act 2001 (Cth) or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non Excludable Guarantees.
Applicable to all territories
Genelec is not liable for any indirect damages or damages that the organiser could not reasonably have foreseen. Genelec is not liable for damages caused by third parties or reasons not attributable to the organiser (such as interruption of the Campaign or damages attributable to a failure in network connections/communications). Genelec accepts no responsibility whatsoever for damage or loss resulting from late, misdirected or incomplete entries, and by taking part in the Campaign the entrant warrants that all information submitted is true, current and complete at the time of submission. It is the entrant’s sole responsibility to ensure that the entrant’s contact information details are accurate. Genelec accepts no responsibility for any changes which are not properly notified according to the timelines stated in these Official Rules of the Campaign. The prize winner shall relieve Genelec and all of the companies that participated in planning and implementing the Campaign from all responsibility relating to injury or damage arising from entering into the Campaign or from redeeming and using the prizes.
The contest is organised by Genelec Oy and is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter or any other third-party social media platform. All entrants release Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter and any other third-party social media platform of all liability associated with this promotion.
