Genelec and Josh Rogosin join forces for Global Sound Concerts
Together, as part of Josh’s explorative Global Sound Concerts video series, we captured six exciting Finnish artists playing live in extraordinary spaces. From enchanting locations in Finland’s capital Helsinki to Genelec’s idyllic smoke sauna in our hometown of Iisalmi, there are six beautiful live performances to discover. Each brings the artists’ music into a space that truly inspires them – while they are set free by a simple setup, without reliance on amplification. This is a unique chance to see how performers are fed by their surroundings and to experience a truly in-the-moment expression of music.
Known globally for his work on the popular NPR series ‘Tiny Desk Concerts’, Josh Rogosin is the director and sound engineer for Global Sound Concerts. Josh’s mixes have been heard on YouTube over a billion times, introducing countless fans to new music. Now, with Global Sound Concerts, he’s placing the spotlight on the world’s great diversity of music by travelling to meet musicians where they create. We were honoured to help Josh explore artistry here in Finland, and we hope you’ll enjoy the results!
