Portlantis earns MONDO-DR 2026 Awards shortlist for Ata Tech and Genelec
Organised by the team behind MONDO-DR magazine, the awards celebrate the very best installation projects from around the globe, recognising outstanding achievement in design, integration, innovation and user experience. Judged by an independent panel of industry experts and previous award winners, the MONDO-DR Awards have become one of the AV industry’s most respected global recognition.
Portlantis is an exciting new visitor and exhibition centre for the Port of Rotterdam, located at the port’s western-most point in Maasvlakte, Netherlands. First opened in early 2025, the educational space invites visitors to journey through the port’s 100-year history, experience the port of today, and take a glimpse into the future.
To help immerse visitors in the port’s fascinating story, systems integrator Ata Tech BV selected Genelec’s 4410 Smart IP loudspeakers to deliver engaging sound across every floor. Combining premium sound reproduction with PoE convenience and energy efficiency, Smart IP technology proved an ideal solution for a modern museum environment focused on both visitor engagement and sustainable operation.
As museums evolve into increasingly immersive and interactive spaces, high-quality audio is becoming essential to the visitor experience. Clear, accurate sound enhances storytelling, accessibility and engagement, while discreet and energy-efficient audio solutions help museums meet the technical and architectural demands of modern exhibition design.
