Marta Salogni Wins MPG Breakthrough Engineer Award

The tenth annual Music Producers Guild Awards took place in London last week.
Genelec was once again proud to sponsor the Breakthrough Engineer Of The Year award – won by Marta Salogni.
On a night that saw five women receive awards, Marta was joined by Catherine Marks (UK Producer Of The Year), Manon Grandjean (Recording Engineer Of The Year), Imogen Heap (Inspiration Award) and Jane Third (A&R Award). Other notable winners included Mark ‘Spike’ Stent (Mix Engineer Of The Year) and Garret ‘Jacknife’ Lee (International Producer Of The Year), with the Outstanding Contribution To UK Music Award going to duo Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley for a 40-year career that has seen them work with countless popular acts including Elvis Costello, Dexys Midnight Runners, Bush and Madness.
