Metropolis Studios has announced the launch of MIST Pro, a new five-day immersive programme from the Metropolis Institute of Sound Technology (MIST), designed to provide participants with firsthand experience of professional music production inside one of the world's most respected recording studios.

Taking place at Metropolis Studios in London, MIST Pro offers an intensive introduction to recording, audio engineering, mixing, mastering and Dolby Atmos through a combination of live studio sessions, technical workshops, industry seminars and hands-on learning.

“MIST Pro reflects our belief that the best way to learn music production is by being immersed in the environment where great records are made.

By bringing participants inside Metropolis Studios, we're giving them access not only to world-class facilities and technology, but also to the expertise, creativity and collaborative spirit that underpin professional music production.

Whether you're an aspiring engineer, producer or artist, or simply someone with a passion for music and a curiosity about how great records are made, MIST Pro offers a rare opportunity to experience the creative process from the inside.

Our goal is simple: to provide an experience that inspires, develops talent and offers genuine insight into the realities of working at the highest level of music production.” - Richard Connell, CEO, Metropolis Studios

Designed as an intimate cohort experience, the programme follows the complete lifecycle of a professional record, from pre-production and recording through to mixing, immersive audio and mastering, providing participants with direct exposure to the workflows, technologies and creative decision-making processes that define contemporary music production.

Unlike traditional classroom-based courses, MIST Pro is delivered entirely within a working professional studio environment. Participants learn alongside award-winning engineers, respected recording professionals and working musicians while gaining access to the same recording, mixing and mastering facilities used by globally recognised artists.

The programme is supported by industry technology partner Genelec, whose expertise in professional monitoring technology helps provide participants with insight into the tools and listening environments used by leading engineers and producers worldwide.

“For 48 years, Genelec has been manufacturing reference monitors used in broadcast, post-production, and music at the highest level worldwide. A significant part of our work is educating our customers, and we have a wealth of information available to ensure that the proper placement, calibration, and understanding of our technology can provide a foundation for audio to translate faithfully. The partnership with Metropolis for Mist Pro is an exciting opportunity to share our experience, with the help of Metropolis engineers, to show how Genelec monitoring is trusted day in, day out in one of the most famous and unique Recording Studios in the world. It is a privilege to have been a small part of the Metropolis story since day one, and this partnership is another chance to celebrate it.” - Andy Bensley, Sales Manager Western Europe, Genelec
