His final bid for these factory-serviced vintage monitors was $4,200 (about €3,700), all of which will be donated to the Kuopio University Foundation to support their incredible work on sustainable development.
To everyone else that participated, a huge thanks for making this an exciting and heart-warming experience! We couldn’t take our eyes off the bidding contest, and we’ve come away feeling very proud of our strong heritage of made-to-last loudspeakers - still highly desired decades after they’ve left the factory.
This timeless quality and our factory’s ability to provide servicing for vintage models means we’re perfectly positioned to start offering more Certified Pre-Owned™ stock in 2022. This will give anyone looking to buy a used set of Genelecs the chance to do so in a safe and secure way whilst contributing to the circular economy.
