It’s hard to believe that a whole year has passed since we unveiled our RAW aluminium colour finish, available on a selection of the most popular models in our Studio, AV and Home Audio ranges. So to celebrate, we’d like to offer you the chance to win a pair of RAW 8320A Smart Active Monitors, complete with GLM calibration kit.
Launched just as the COVID pandemic was starting to sweep the globe, the RAW versions require no painting and less finishing material than standard painted models - creating an even more environmentally friendly loudspeaker that allows the natural beauty of the enclosure’s raw aluminium to shine through, and gives each individual loudspeaker a unique look and feel.
Just after the launch of RAW, we quickly saw one of the many negative effects of the pandemic. The survival of the only professional society devoted exclusively to audio technology, the Audio Engineering Society (AES), became threatened. To help sustain itself and continue to support its members, the AES set out to raise $500,000 in donations. So we decided to allocate a percentage of all our RAW sales last year to the AES fundraiser - and thanks to the huge popularity of RAW, we were able to donate almost €22,000 to the society, to help them continue their important work. We could only have done this thanks to your amazing reaction to the RAW range. Thank you.
Now it’s your turn to be rewarded! As we’re also celebrating the first anniversary of our regular Pro at Home Instagram Live sessions with Andy Bensley, we’ve launched an Instagram contest whereby you can win a pair of RAW 8320A Smart Active Monitors with GLM kit. Compact enough to fit into the tightest of spaces - yet intelligent enough to adapt to your recording environment - the 8320A will provide a true reference, allowing you to make accurate, reliable mix decisions in any room.
Entering the contest is really simple. Just post a picture or a video on your Instagram page using the hashtags #Genelec and #GenelecProAtHome, explaining how the RAW 8320 monitors would improve your listening experience at home. But don’t wait too long – entries close on May 5th!
