Genelec COVID-19 Statement

The distress, uncertainty, and suffering that people have been recently experiencing around the world due to the coronavirus pandemic, is indescribable.

At the same time, the tragic situation has reminded us once again that responsible visions of the future, in which human beings remain the focus, are a prerequisite for guiding our present actions so that they might better lead us towards a developmental path which will benefit nature and human civilisation. At Genelec, we believe that our best response to this situation is inspired by our value foundation, our purpose as a company and human beings, our sense of empathy, cooperation, and our community.

Firstly, the entire team at Genelec extends their thoughts and best wishes to all those affected by the COVID–19 outbreak, and we will endeavour to do everything we can to help everyone, including our customers, through this difficult time – while protecting the welfare of our many global employees, partners, and those people we interact with.

Secondly, we have already started planning and executing all the necessary arrangements to ensure that we can keep supporting our customers and partners, while still maintaining the safety of our staff. As a result, all Genelec personnel who are able to work from home have been encouraged to do so, and we have an excellent IT infrastructure in place to facilitate this. All international and domestic business travel has been cancelled until further notice, and all of us are closely following the health guidelines issued by the countries we are located in. We're also advising any employee who does not feel well to stay at home, get well, and avoid interacting with others.

To protect our factory-based personnel we have split our production and logistics teams into two separate shifts, and currently we are well positioned to fulfil orders and maintain the required levels of production. Our service and technical support teams are also fully operational, and we are here and ready to provide remote support for all our customers around the world.

Thirdly, we will continue to monitor the situation closely and will take all the necessary actions and initiatives to support people and contribute to the worldwide struggle against COVID-19. We believe that if people are well, then so is our company.

In the meantime we truly hope that all of you are able to stay safe, healthy and hopeful in these very difficult times. Together we are strong!
