GLM 4.1 voted winner at Resolution Awards

We’d like to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone that recently voted for our GLM 4.1 loudspeaker management and calibration software, which has been announced winner in the Monitoring category of the prestigious 2021 Resolution Awards.

Compatible with all of our Smart Active Monitors and Subwoofers, GLM is an easy-to-use kit and software solution that allows a user to automatically optimise their listening experience in any space and gain supreme control when adding a personal flavour to their monitoring sound.

Launched in summer 2021, GLM 4.1 introduced several key improvements and features, including the completely overhauled AutoCal 2 room calibration algorithm; our fastest and most accurate optimisation experience to date. Within the same free update, we added extended phase linearity right down to 100 Hz for calibrating The Ones series, a refined combination of mic measurements from multiple positions, the Solo-X mode for faster soloing of individual monitors in immersive configurations, and support for three new languages.

GLM has found increasing relevance in a world that has strongly embraced home recording and the use of spaces not usually intended for audio work. These ‘lively’ spaces normally require extensive work to achieve a neutral listening environment, so GLM 4.1 is a huge help, allowing impressive optimisation even in rooms with little or no acoustic treatment.

After being shortlisted by Resolution’s panel of industry experts and practitioners, the magazine’s readers, social media followers, and the general public were invited to vote for their favourite products. We feel the result perfectly reflects the positive feedback that we’ve received since the GLM 4.1 launch, and we’re extremely grateful for that.

Once again thank you so much for your support. Your quick adoption of this update was a joy to witness, and as each new calibration adds to our robust cloud dataset of thousands of real-world spaces, every GLM user is helping the entire audio community create a truly global sonic reference.

Finally, stay tuned for Mike Aiton’s in-depth GLM 4.1 review in the next issue of Resolution!
