Genelec shortlisted twice in 2023 AV Awards
This year, Genelec is in contention for the coveted Green Award for our robust – and widely acclaimed – sustainability credentials, and our recent installation at Jacy’z Hotel and Resort is up for the Leisure and Hospitality Project of the Year Award.
We’re always particularly proud to be recognised for our sustainability efforts – which hold equal importance for us alongside sound quality and profitability. Ever since our founding in 1978, we've strived to create the lightest possible footprint, building only long-lasting, serviceable loudspeakers and ensuring the well-being of our team. From there on, we’ve expanded on those values time and again to maintain Genelec as a global leader in sustainable loudspeaker solutions. As such, AV Magazine’s panel of experts will assess us for the Green Award by looking at – among other things – our successes in working culture, environmental management, sustainable supply, communication of our credentials, sustainability reporting and developmental goals. Our second nomination in this year’s AV Awards is for the elegant Genelec installation at ESS Group’s luxury Jacy’z Hotel & Resort in Gothenburg, Sweden, which was planned and executed in close collaboration with integration specialists Informationsteknik. With over 130 Genelecs, from our analogue 4000 Series and advanced Smart IP family of networked loudspeakers, Jacy’z offers a premium sound experience that fulfils the high expectations of its visitors. Before making their final decision, the AV Awards' expert panel will consider the premium aesthetics, ease of installation, sonic performance and customer satisfaction of this project. Since launching in 1999, the Awards have been instrumental in recognising the outstanding achievements of exceptional individuals, companies, projects and technology across the AV, events and production sectors, raising standards along the way. The Awards remain independent, thorough and transparent with annual auditing of the categories and judging process by a carefully curated steering committee. This ensures all entries are properly and fairly evaluated every year.
