Highland88 delivers ambient hospitality with Genelec’s 4000 Series loudspeakers

Highland88’s sleek wooden interior gives the venue a distinctive look, but it also made for a challenging acoustic environment. The system had to blend seamlessly into the design while delivering natural sound reproduction.

The hard wooden interior of Highland88 made it a difficult space with harsh reflections that could make for an uncomfortable listening experience for guests. Built upon the technology of Genelec’s professional studio monitors, the 4000 Series active loudspeakers have controlled directivity and room compression switches, ensuring non-fatiguing audio.

The venue chose seven 4010A and two 4020C active loudspeakers, eliminating the need for bulky external equipment for a simplified installation. For a bar like Highland88, where aesthetics are a key consideration, this means less cabling and a cleaner finish. Designed with these issues in mind, the 4000 Series provides accurate, high-quality audio at low listening levels to Highland88.
